

June 2020 Review
Corona-Virus continued to head the news, fortunately in a positive way as the lock-down was being lifted gradually. With meeting of up to six being authorised RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Rider East Yorkshire (E-YARD) arranged a run out on 2 June as the message from HQ authorised group rides. Jules July Re-qualify
Congratultaions to Julian Taylor, who requalified for his fourth re-test with a Gold qualification. He was also the first group test post lock-down In 27 C conditions, Julian was under real pressure as he had two examiners in his wake, Chris Hood and John Summerfield! John is just undergoing training as an examiner with Chris. Good-bye Old Friend
It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce the passing of Peter Gill. Peter passed away on 20 June after a short illness. Peter had been involved with Advanced driving throughout his life, along with many other pastimes, including top level cricket and chess. Peter was a member of Institute of Advanced Motorists and had been chair of the Hull group. Freedom!!! (Well a little bit more than we had...)
At 1544 Tuesday 2 June, 2020, RoADAR HQ announced that in line with goverment guidelines, training and group rides were now authorised, albeit subject to social distancing and no more than six persons. Good news to start the Summer!
As flaming June appeared, the government of England lifted some of the regulation regarding the Covid rules. May 2020 Review
Another month which saw a blanket ban on all official activity due to Coronavirus guidelines....May 2020 was always going to be a hard one to write about! As May commenced the country was in full lockdown, with only essential journeys for work or medical reasons being allowed.
