September started where August left off...Hot'n'Sunny! A glorious day blessed the September Breakfast Club ride out. Setting off from Beverley and heading to deepest Lincolnshire, E-YARD members were again joined by guests from the North Yorkshire group, Pippa Unwin and Malcolm L Lockyer. Monthly Group Meet - September
A change of monthly venue saw E-YARD meet for the first time at Beverley and East Yorkshire Golf Club. A good turn out with Michael Brandi delivering a talk on vehicle detailing, how to keep your vehicle looking factory fresh with correct cleaning regimes and products. The meeting celebrated the success of Mark and Andy achieving Group Tutor status, Rosie, Ian and Dave their Advanced Tutor status, Dave Knowles Gold pass and welcomed Pippa Unwin, Phil Ward and Charlie Lazenby


E-YARD Tutor Training Weekend 2018
E-YARD's annual Tutor Training Weekend took place over the weekend of 14-17 September. The group met at Beverley for breakfast and briefing, and was made up of Alwyn Tolson, Dave Hardwick, Andy Trevor, Ivan Smy, Mark Kelk, Denise Rose and Chris Hood (not pictured). Kawasaki Dave strikes Gold
Another pass for E-YARD with our long time member Dave Knowles achieving, not only a pass, but a Gold. Dave took his test on Saturday 8 September in terrible wet conditions, Dave said he was really glad he'd dug out his waterproofs! Thanks go to Rosie for her training and getting another associate to the ultimate level. The hard work done by Dave though has really paid off. A brilliant result - Well Done Dave- a long way since the Bananaman Days!


Jo the Vice
The committee of E-YARD have got together and made a decision on behalf of members to appoint a member in then role of Vice Chair, to cover in the absence of other members of the committee. The creation of this post will help administratively as the group expands and will take some of the pressure off other committee members and ensure smooth running and decision making. Recognising Peter!
Pete Gill has been a popular member of E-YARD (and it's previous incarnation ERY-RoADAR) for many years, helping and tutoring members and advising the committee with his wealth of experience and knowledge. Due to health issues Peter (now in his mid eighties) has had to step down from active duty. On Monday 3 September Peter was presented with a 'Certificate of Recognition' for his services to RoSPA Advanced Drivers & Riders - East Yorkshire, by Jo Bowers, one of his proteges


September Breakfast Club
A lovely sunny day for the first Autumn ride-out. Ivan, Alwyn, Mark K, Chris H, with Jo B pillion from E-YARD were joined by Pippa Unwin and Malcolm Lockyer from ARNY joining our social side of riding. Leaving Beverley McDonalds full of coffee (very strong coffee, eh, Jo?) the gang head south over the Humber Bridge and picked up the brilliant roads of the Lincolnshire Wolds stopping at Willingham Woods for a cuppa.
