June Review

Another great month for E-YARD, which started with the monthly meeting.

"Limit Points" was the subject up for discussion, a refresher for those who have been through their tests and an overview and in depth discussion for those who are starting out on their advanced career!

Chris delivered a power point presentation which sparked some lively conversation and super participation from all members.

The meeting saw the acceptance of three new members into the fold, Ian and Dave on the bike side, and Lizzy on the cars. Another new member not present at the meeting is Sylvia - recruited by Julian whilst attending another meeting regarding safer driving.

Lots of training runs this month, with the tutors working flat out!

Our car tutors have all been out with associates, with some great progress being made.

Not only have the group bike tutors been out with associates, but also assisting Humberside BikeSafe - this time with a full weekend of assessments,

Those assessments extended to our own Rosie who was formally assessed by one of the police riders - naturally she came through with flying colours!

With some really good weather this month there has been a lot of social riding as well.

Norge, Alwyn(Errol) and Chris set off for 'The Lakes in a Day'. Only made it as far as Skipton!

However the roads traversed were exceptional. Managed to lose John on the way back though!

Setting off from Seaways the three muskateers headed north towards Thirsk, Ripon and the on to Grassington, Cracoe and Skipton for lunch. Having set off fairly late, then spent a long lunch hour(!!!) the Lakes were scrapped in favour of a similar route back but incorporating Blubberhouses and Harrogate. Great roads and even better company!

Rosie didn't attend the ride out as she was doing her innaugral "Iron Butt" ride - One Thousand miles in 24 hours - which she rode on behalf of the Royal British Legion.

Excellent effort - we look forward to a blog about the event from Rosie later in the month

More group members in the Motor Cycle News as well with Kelvin reviewing his gloves!

The Face Book page is getting used more and is attracting new potential members with numerous requests being accepted for new members to the FB group.

Nice to see some humorous entries on there too as well as some serious debates.

Keep using it, it's a great shop window for the group.

The monthly meeting is at 1930hrs, Tuesday 4 July at East Coast M/C World, with a guest speaker from the equine world popping along to gives their perspective of sharing the roads.
