RoSPA Advanced Drivers & Riders East Yorkshire (E-YARD) first engagement of Summer 2019 was the first weekend of June, with E-YARD supporting Ride the Waves, the annual Bridlington Beach Race event. June 19 Monthly Meeting SoBS
June 2019 monthly meeting of RoSPA Advanced Driver and Riders East Yorkshire (E-YARD) took place at the Beverley Golf Club at the usual time of 7:30pm. 24 members and guests were in attendance to hear Pippa Unwins presentation on a subject she is passionate about, the Science of Being Seen (SoBS) summarising and speculating on the publication by Kevin Williams of the same name. June 10th saw a double test day success for the RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders East Yorkshire (E-YARD) The success was even sweeter that they were both Gold Grades! Chris Whitfield and Pippa Unwin were both tested by the same examiner in consecutive tests. Both tests were car, and with Chris being an ADI, it was a great result for him both personally and professionally. Making a change from the usual training, members got together to celebrate Vice Chair, Jo Bowers, birthday with a civilised high tea on Saturday afternoon, 22 June. It was, it turned out, new member Leigh's birthday as well so became a double celebration! RoSPA Advanced Drivers & Rider East Yorkshire's (E-YARD) traditional monthly Breakfast Club Rideout took place on Sunday, 9 June. Starting at the Beverley Golf Club with a hearty breakfast, this month it saw ten members, associates and guests turnout. Led by Rosie, it was 'stands up' at 10am (well, OK, more like 1015-ish) and away over Beverley Westwood heading over the Yorkshire Wolds to Malton. Race the Waves!
The first weekend of June was filled with petrol head heaven as Bridlington held it's annual "Race the Waves" event. As May arrived, the last month of Spring, so did the usual Spring weather - rain and wind!
