May Review '19
As May arrived, the last month of Spring, so did the usual Spring weather - rain and wind!
RoSPA Advanced Driver and Riders East Yorkshire (E-YARD) as usual were not deterred, with both car and bike training being delivered.
Rosie and Pippa were out with their respective associates, dodging the clouds and finding the tea and cake spots!
Further Driver Progressive Development continued with recent Gold qualified Paul Taylor
having a development session with Andy Trevor. Andy swapped roles with Paul who had a session of acting as tutor to help his development and build on what he's already achieved.
The monthly Breakfast Club ride out saw Rosie as the leader, meeting at Beverley Golf Club nice and early for their jaunt!
The usual cake and ice creams were consumed as the gang head out into deepest North Yorkshire, and Yorkshire Lavender centre then on to Leyburn, Manor Cafe then over to the East to Sleights and Perry's Plants, ending at Fimber
Saturday 18 May was the second BikeSafe of Humberside's season, and E-YARD were represented by Pippa and Andy T who sat through the full course with the candidates before delivering assessed rides. They will both be representing -YARD at future workshops
On 21 May ten members of the group attended the i2i Motorcycle Academy at Rufforth airfield near York and did the Level One foundation course in machine control.
An excellent day pushing the limits of what the bike is capable of, or more importantly, the limits of the riders!
Tutoring went on throughout the month with Jackie S starting her training with Andy T, under the assessment of Rosie.
Jackie isn't as keen on her pics being taken, but the proof of her suitability was in the cake consumption ability!
Rosie and Andy were in full swing with some Tutor training with Malcolm at the month end
Pippa was also hard at it with another session with Neil and then with Christine
60 hours of motorcycle tutoring and 7 hours car training were provided by the tutor hub in May
