The Summer of 2018! What a scorcher! July continued to be a hot one, with World Cup fever adding to the temperature. the hottest British F1 Grand Prix on record and E-YARD blazing a trail at the annual Crowle Emergency Services Rescue Day! E-YARD were invited to represent road safety and spread the RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders message at the event. A Breeze for the Bleas!
Well that's what Martin Bleasby could have done with on Wednesday 25 July! The hottest recorded day of the year - possibly since 1976 - and Martin had to don his bike kit! Martin went through the Group Tutor qualification process starting with theoretical situations and knowledge checks before going around the Wolds encountering several different 'characters' for him to identify faults and give remedial feedback and teaching. Streets Ahead!
More great news for E-YARD this month! Ian Streets qualified as a roup Tutor after a day of intense examining today, 20 July 2018. Ian met with Chris Hood to be put through his paces at Willerby. After a theory session Ian then displayed a Gold standard ride around the Yorkshire Wolds. He then 'met' several different riders and having seen their performance gave feedback which was assessed, addressed and actioned!


Driffield Show
The 2018 Driffield Show took place on another gloriously sunny day! E-YARD were invited to represent RoSPA's interests again, being part of the Safer Roads Humber stand. Plenty of engagement with attendees from the team of Andy T, Dave P, Jo and Julia (see above picture) with plenty of interest in what we do and several people considering coming along and getting advanced tuition. Julia's reputation caught up with her as the local armed response officers got to grips with her


Progressive Driver Development #2018
Last December, E-YARD ran a Progressive Driver Development Course (PDDC) with Andy Trevor taking the helm. The idea was one associate was, literally, in the driving seat, two more associates would observe from the rear seat, therby they would also benefit from 'driving' learning from input provided by the tutor and group critique could be applied at the end of each drivers session. Test Pass for Martin
A big congratulations goes out to owner of our meeting place, East Coast Motorcycle World - Martin Bleasby. Martin took his RoSPA Advanced Drivers And Riders Motorcycle test on Thursday 12 July on the roads of East Yorkshire. Delivering a stunning ride he was awarded a Gold standard pass and will shortly be undertaking his Tutor training.
