As Spring officially arrived, the glorious sunshine of last month turned into the more normal British weather, with Storm Freya rolling in. As she did so, the group held it's inaugural Tutor Training Programme with 13 tutors, trainee tutors and potential tutors in attendance at Beverley Golf Club. A different Kind of Tutor!
Nick Houlden has a member of RoSPA Avanced Drivers and Riders East Yorkshire, for a couple of years, having taken his car test in 2017. He doesn't tutor for the group, his day job doesn't give him the time! Nick is a driver trainer for local coach operator, Acklams, based in Beverley, the capital of East Yorkshire. Newbies Wolds Way Training
Newly qualified Pippa took her first associate out from the Wolds Way Cafe on 4 March. As part of the quality control Pippa's lesson was accompanied by Chris H - No Pressure! A pleasing ride out from E-YARD's chosen venue for #ridethewolds - the advanced taster day to the ever popular Seaways Cafe via some 'goat tracks'! Pippa delivered an excellent session and confirmed her appointment as a Group Tutor with East Yorkshires premier provider of RoSPA Advanced Rider training. F


Training the Trainers
As the thought of Spring becoming a reality filtered through, RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Rider East Yorkshire (E-YARD) ran a Tutor Training day for both Motorcycle and Car Tutors. The course was designed to give all the group tutors a base level to develop their own style of tutoring from. It provided a platform to discuss methods and techniques, and share best practice. #RidetheWolds
The Enhanced Rider Day on 14 April has a new name - and that name is #RidetheWolds E-YARD secretary held a meeting with Safer Roads Humber on 1 March regarding their support of the event. Safer Roads Humber agreed to assist in the promotion of the event including local media coverage and social media support. This will be a great boost and such partnership working will raise E-YARD's profile as we continue to expand and establish as the premier provider of Advanced Rider Trai


February Review '19
As February arrived, so did the winter! Airports were closed, snow blanketed areas of the country and the temperatures dropped to the lowest of the year.
