Good-bye Old Friend

It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce the passing of Peter Gill.

Peter passed away on 20 June after a short illness.

Peter had been involved with Advanced driving throughout his life, along with many other pastimes, including top level cricket and chess.

Peter was a member of Institute of Advanced Motorists and had been chair of the Hull group.

When E-YARD originally formed, as East Riding of Yorkshire RoADAR, Peter became a member, along with his great friend Ivor, and remained so througout the groups highs and lows.

His passion never wained and he tutored for the group until physical immobility stopped him being able.

His contributions to the group(s) was rewarded in 2018 when he was awarded an

E-YARD Certificate of Recognition.

Having suffered an accident in 2018 Peter was unable to attend group meetings but was always in our thoughts.

Peter is survived by his wife Lynn
