May Monthly Meeting

The monthly meeting on Wednesday 23 May saw the group gather at East Coast Motorcycle World at 7:30
This month saw a guest speaker in attendance in the form of David Burton, the retired lead of Humberside Police driver training department.
Dave gave the group a summary of his policing career, from cadet through to car and motorcycle patrol officer, trainer, surveillance operative and eventually head of driver training.
Dave regaled some amusing anecdotes along the way, including his encounter with Princess Diana!
Dave engaged the group in an exercise designed to show the level of concentration required of a police response driver or rider before reviewing current training of police drivers and riders.
The evening ended with a Q&A session and a big thank you from all the members present.
