First Tutor Course of '21
Sunday 30 May gave E-YARD the first opportunity to run the planned Tutor Course since November 2020 - the week of the big lock down!!
The six victims - erm, candidates - attended the media room at Beverley golf club at 0930 and, after initial introduction to the course, were subjected to an exam!
After the exam, and a cuppa, the course covered all aspects of tutoring, from how to introduce yourself to how you should present yourself. All about professionalism and delivering the very best training of any group.
The course covered every aspect of tutoring from engagement with associates, openess and honesty, to how to lead a rideout.
All the candidates qualified in the role and were issued with three year long authorisation to carry out the role of Group Tutor within RoSPA Advanced Driver and Rider East Yorkshire
(E-YARD)
Further courses will ensure that all E-YARD Tutors are trained to the same high standards, which is designed to be at a similar level to the (original) RoSPA diploma and advanced tutor qualification. It is practically based and relevant to the role of the Group Tutor.
Congratulations to the Tutors, Paul Morton, Rod McAndrew, Andy Brittan and Bob Stephenson, Training officer Julian Taylor and local examiner John Summerfield.
