Engaging the Army!

Road Safety Week is an annual event that is arranged and supported by Brake the Road Safety Charity.

RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders East Yorkshire (E-YARD) were invited to promote Road Safety Week at Leconfield - Defence School of Transport (DST) by Safer Roads Humber as part of the initiative.

Humberside Fire and Rescue gave a demonstration of vehicle extraction, assisted by Humberside Police to the students and staff of DST.

E-YARD were given the opportunity to 'spread the word' about RoSPA Advanced Driving and Riding to those attending, about 400 people in total, largely soldiers who are likely to be posted all over the UK, some also being posted abroad. A great way to get the message out we hope!

E-YARD were represented by Advanced Car Tutor, David Pattenden and Secretary Chris Hood.
