Fire, Bikes & the Older Ones
Saturday 9 September saw E-YARD supporting the UKRO Challenge (UK Rescue Organisations) at the KCOM Stadium in Hull.
Invited to assist in the promotion of road safety by the Safer Roads Humber team Dave P, Alwyn, Guy and Chris staffed two stands at the event.
Guy and Alwyn were engaged on the Motorcycling Safety stand explaining to visitors the values of advanced riding.
IAM were also involved with the stand and Chris floated between the two displays.
Dave P was primarily covering Mature Drivers.
Geoff Blackburn assisted in general at the event form the West Yorkshire group and between the members present plenty of engagement with visitors was acheived.
The lure of freebies helped, with pens, pencils, playing cards, tyre depth gagues and leaflets attracting all manner of people!
The event had many facets, the Challenge itself being a competitive event for Fire Services and other Rescue organisations from around the UK to exchange techniques and see who was the best! There was a large road safety display, which was where E-YARD were involved and a health promotion aspect too.
In the Road Safety section. dispayes covered everything from Youngsters awareness to Mobility Scooters and everything inbetween, Motorcycles, Mature Drivers, Non Alcoholic drinks option (Mocktails) and Virtual Reality
Safer Roads Humber partnership extended their thanks to E-YARD for our support as partners.
A great day for E-YARD with exposure at a national level event.
A big weekend, all in all, for E-YARD who also supported Humberside Police BikeSafe at their last workshop of the year, Rosie and John W doing the honours for the group at Beverley.
