November Review - Here Come the Girls!

November was a slow burn!

As the summer eventually left us, the weather became more wintry and unpredictable.

There was no Breakfast Club for November due to weather and other commitments.

However, as the month went on a little social ride was arranged by Mark K.

"Weather forecast looks good for Sunday - meet at South Cave?"

Mark, Hoody and Paul M duly turned up. After a quick coffee (free for Paul?!!??) at the Fox & Coney the gang donned their helmets - and their waterproofs!!!

The heavens opened!

A wet but enjoyable ride out to York and over the Wolds followed!

Meanwhile...our chair, Norge was out with advanced tutor Rosie QA-ing* his tutor qualifications with group tutor Andy T playing 'stooge'. Having head east, and ended at Spirit of Yorkshire distillery cafe, they had a dryer ride out than the boys!

Norge successfully requalified in his role and will continue tutoring with two associates under his watchful eye. Remember John KISS!

November 13th turned out to be anything other than unlucky for one of the members.

Pippa took her motorcycle test, commencing in Market Weighton and concluding over the Wolds at Spirit of Yorkshire (getting popular this place!) -see header photo.

Pippa achieved the highest grade - Gold - with a superb demonstration of advanced riding.

Pippa has previously tutored for IAM and will now commence her tutor training with (RoADAR East Yorkshire) E-YARD

Well done Pippa!

A new batch of E-YARD stickers have arrived, courtesy of Mark K and will be available for members at group meetings and included in starter packs.

Wednesday 21 November saw the groups bikers attending the annual bike fest at NEC Birmingham, Motorcycle Live! with members dreaming of the new technology and exotica on view, and drooling over the products from their favourite manufacturers!

November proved a great moth for the ladies of E-YARD, with Carolyne taking her RoADAR bike test on Friday 23 November on a damp dismal day!

The result however was like a 'Gold'-en ray of sunshine!

A brilliant result after only two years riding experience.

The qualifications kept coming with new member Craig Smith taking and passing his advanced bike test on SUnday 25 November.

Well done Craig!

The monthly meeting took place on Wednesday 28 November at the Beverley Golf Club with an informative and interesting presentation on the i2i Motorcycle Academy by Tom Killeen, that he owns and is instructor for. Tom explained many aspects of machine control and how the person and the bike don't always communicate!

Did I say November was a slow burn? It may have started that way but ended with celebratory fireworks!

December is already looking good as the Winter comes along, with Skid Pan on second of the month and the Christmas 'Do' on Fifteenth.

There is no meeting in December but we will re group on 23 January 2019

Have a great festive season, enjoy Christmas and New Year and look forward to another great year for RoADAR East Yorkshire E-YARD
